This fixture was the first one so far that went to a decider! After getting a sensational win last night in the late shift at Jeu de Paume against Hong-Kong Liu Tsz-Ling, Cristina Gomez backed up today against Satomi Watanabe. In the last match, Xisela Aranda got close to creating a big upset: she had an opportunity to go 2-0 up in a very entertaining second game but could not convert it. She kept fighting after that but her much higher ranked opponent Misaki Kobayashi had the upper hand from there and closed the match in 4. Heartbreaking for Spain who got close to a very big win this morning in Saint-Cloud.
