Busy day at the Jeu de Paume. The club was packed for our morning session, undertandably because France were playing their opening match.
Morning session
The first matches in Pool D started around 11am with France v Spain Japon v Hong Kong. There were no upsets and the two favourites will have used this fixture to ease into the tournament.
Hong Kong dispatched Japan 3-0 in about one hour and a half.

As far as France go, the girls started off their campaign well, beating Spain 3-0 with Laura Pomportes, Camille Serme and Coline Aumard in the line-up.
